Background: 1987 was the first year of the “real” Saleen conversion with four-wheel disc brakes, 5-lug wheels, and the Flofit interior. 239 Hatchback Saleens were built in total for 1987.
More importantly, #45 is one 278 total 1987 Saleen Mustangs of all body styles built, 1 of 105 in Black, and 1 of 2 black Hatchbacks with a factory sunroof.
