Yes, KR 4037 is that car. It is one of just 267 factory 4-speed cars, has just 47,000 original miles, and was born in the ultra desirable color of Acapulco Blue. With only a handful of owners from new, every one of them documented back to Day One, including copies of past titles, loan agreements, and more, 4037’s history is absolutely iron-clad.
4037 has its original factory build sheet, warranty card, purchase contract, and more. It has its original Ford and Shelby VIN tags, buck tag, door tag, its original engine, transmission, smog system, carburetor, starter delay, Lucas lamps, and every other special component so often missing from even “the best” examples. This car doesn’t just talk the talk, it walks the walk.
Restored using all original or NOS parts in the 1990s, 4037 remains nearly perfect today.
