1972 “Pre-L” De Tomaso Pantera offered from the personal collection of Ford CEO and President Jim Farley.
This badass Pantera has been Jim’s “go to” daily driver on fair weather days in Dearborn, and has been sorted, tuned, upgraded, and maintained to his specifications without regard to cost.
Presented in its original color of Fly Yellow, with upgraded original seats with Jim’s choice of black and white houndstooth inserts, an NOS GTS steering wheel, and factory 8 and 10″ GTS wheels Cerakoted in a proper replication of the Dow 7 coating as used on period Comp Cobra magnesium wheels, and wrapped in fat Avon CR6ZZ FIA and road-legal rally tires, this Pantera just looks the business.
Its original 351 Cleveland has been rebuilt by the famed Cobra Automotive to produce over 500 horsepower, and the car rides on fully adjustable modern coil over shocks. There are countless other upgrades as well, such as updated air conditioning, a period-appearing Blaupunkt stereo, and more.
The body and chassis are amazingly rust free and solid, a rarity on any Pantera as those in the know can attest to!
With a comprehensive and fully documented history from new, neatly organized in binders, and the aforementioned no-expense spared nature of its current and previous ownership, this is one Pantera that ticks all the boxes.
